LIBRARY SERVICES

The Father J.A. Mattice Resource Centre will be open during the school day. It is located across from the cafeteria and offers book exchange service and reference assistance. Volumes include hardcover books, paperbacks, periodicals, reference encyclopedia, filmstrips, and dictionaries. Reference works, periodicals and vertical file materials are not to leave the Resource Centre. Books may be signed out for two weeks. Fines will be levied on books that are overdue. The sign out policy is clearly outlined at the Circulation Desk. Computers are also available to allow students to access the Internet for research purposes. Mrs. Wilson, our Teacher-Librarian, assists students in the use of library resources.

CAFETERIA SERVICES

The food services in the School Cafeteria are operated by Aramark under contract with the School Board. Most students bring their own lunch from home. Students who stay for lunch are expected to eat in the Cafeteria and follow the community guidelines.

TUCK SHOP

The Tuck Shop is an in-school operation run by the Athletic Council. It is open during lunch daily and is located adjacent to the library.

YEARBOOK

We believe that our annual yearbook publication, VITA, is the finest in the country. Over 150 pages of typeset, photographic journalism captures a year's events and accomplishments in one publication. Delivery is in the autumn and sales begin in mid-November. Close to seventy percent of the student body purchases a book.

PUBLIC TELEPHONE

In the main entrance and in the guidance foyer, public telephones are available for all students. Cost is 25 cents. All personal calls should be made on this phone. Please be sensitive to others needs to also use the phones.

LOCKERS

All students have the privilege of using a locker. Students are reminded that all lockers are the property of the school and they are only on loan to the student. Students are expected to maintain and have their lockers in good condition. Repairs and/or cleanup required will be charged to the student. Any sort of marking or writing on the inside or outside of the lockers is not permitted and will be considered vandalism. Students are urged not to bring articles of significant value to school or store them in your locker. If you must bring an article of value to the school, it may be left temporarily in the main office with a secretary. All students must purchase a combination lock (Dudley locks are required and are available at the school). It is important that each student keep the locker combination confidential. If a student goes into another's locker without permission it is an act of break and enter or theft and will be treated as such by the school. Any posters, pictures or signs put up in lockers must be in good taste.

LOST AND FOUND

Misplaced items can be claimed in the custodians' office. Please report any missing items promptly to the Vice-Principal. Be sure to put your name on all personal belongings, especially uniform items.
